Samantha Rae has been tattooing since 2009, but her apprenticeship was destined to take a new turn in 2012 when she met Stacie-Rae Weir. Since Samantha Rae and Stacie-Rae teamed up they have been developing ‘the A.R.T. of Areola Restorative Tattooing’ to benefit survivor clients and educate advanced tattooers.

Along with each A.R.T. certified artist, SamR and Stacie-Rae are becoming recognized for their contributions to the Tattoo and Medical industries. Clients are now making pilgrim journeys to seek healing art, covering scars with tattoo work in order to move forward with new found strength and self love.

Before finding her calling and career as a Tattoo Artist, Sam spent 12 years working as an Airbrush Body Painter in Vancouver’s Entertainment and Advertising industries. Painting over the curvy plains of each ‘walking canvas’ has always been a joy. In fact, Samantha’s first job out of high school landed her an 11 year career in a fine art Pottery Studio (Braemar Pottery) where she perfected the method of ‘hand painting’ stunning designs on vases and bowls (curvy, yes) to be glazed and ‘RAKU’ fired.

Samantha Rae Graduated from Blanche MacDonald School for Applied Design in 2002, she has worked on Film and FX productions and has won several awards for her Airbrush Body Paint in live competitive events. Each of these artistic outlets has contributed to Sam’s technical approach and eye for design as it is seen on the body.Presently, Samantha Rae is a Mother, wife and business owner.
